Vaksin Novel Oral Polio tipe 2 (nOPV2) ini merupakan vaksin polio generasi baru hasil modifikasi dari
vaksin polio terdahulu yang lebih stabil secara genetic dan memiliki kemungkinan kecil untuk kembali
terjadinya Circulating Vaccine Derived Poliovirus (cVDPVC) yakni munculnya kembali kasus polio
dari mutase virus dalam vaksin. Vaksin jenis ini merupakan vaksin yang pertama didunia sekaligus
vaksin yang pertama mendapatkan status Emergency Use Listing/ EUL) di dunia oleh World Health
Organization (WHO).
This Novel Oral Polio Type 2 (nOPV2) vaccine is a new generation of polio vaccine modified from
the previous polio vaccine which is more genetically stable and has a small chance of reoccurring
Circulating Vaccine Derived Poliovirus (cVDPVC), namely the re-emergence of polio cases from viral
mutations in the vaccine. This type of vaccine is the first vaccine in the world as well as the first vaccine
to get Emergency Use Listing (EUL) status in the world by the World Health Organization (WHO).
