Perum BULOG memiliki produk Beras Fortivit, yaitu beras berfortifikasi dengan tambahan vitamin A, B1,
B3, B6, B9, B12, zat besi, dan zinc. Namun hingga saat ini, Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) yang digunakan
sebagai bahan fortifikasi masih diimpor. Oleh karena itu, Perum BULOG bekerjasama dengan BPPT
untuk mengembangkan fortified rice kernel (FRK) dengan menggunakan bahan dasar lokal. BPPT
telah melakukan uji coba pembuatan FRK dengan metode warm extrusion dan akan dilakukan uji
lanjutan sebelum dapat diproduksi lebih lanjut.
Perum BULOG has Fortivit Rice products, namely fortified rice with additional vitamins A, B1, B3, B6,
B9, B12, iron, and zinc. However, until now, Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) which is used as fortification
material is still imported. Therefore, Perum BULOG cooperates with BPPT to develop fortified rice
kernel (FRK) using local raw materials. BPPT has tested the manufacture of FRK using the warm
extrusion method and further tests will be carried out before it can be produced further.
