Terak feronikel dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai agregat halus pada mortar dan beton untuk konstruksi
secara umum. Printer 3D ini didesain untuk dapat menggunakan umpan (ink) yang berupa mortar
dengan terak feronikel sebagai agregat halusnya. Printer skala laboratorium ini berukuran 2x2x1.5m.
Karakteristik mortar yang mudah mengering dan pengaturan aliran mortar hingga membentuk
konstruksi 3D menjadi tantangan tersendiri baik dalam pengembangan 3D printer dan penentuan
komposisi mortar yang tepat. Dengan teknologi 3D printer, pembuatan konstruksi miniatur bangunan
dapat diwujudkan dengan lebih cepat dan efisien.
Ferronickel slag can be used as a fine aggregate in mortar and concrete for general construction. This
3D printer is designed to be able to use feed (ink) in the form of a mortar with ferronickel slag as the
fine aggregate. This laboratory scale printer measures 2x2x1.5m. The characteristics of the mortar
that are easy to dry and the regulation of mortar flow to form a 3D construction is a challenge in
both the development of a 3D printer and the determination of the right mortar composition. With 3D
printer technology, the construction of miniature buildings can be realized more quickly and efficiently.
